Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
· Degree in geology, geophysics or other geoscience subject essential, preferably geophysics.
· A minimum of 2 years experience in seismic reservoir characterisation, working for an oil operator or service company essential.
· Proven experience in and understanding seismic reservoir characterisation techniques essential.
· Previous consultancy work highly advantageous.
· Good project management skills with the ability to perform technical aspects of given projects in a professional and timely manner essential
· Experience in seismic inversion (post/pre-stack) workflow from data loading/QC to litho/fluid prediction through seismic data pre-condition and seismic inversion essential.
· Good understanding of borehole seismic, wireline log interpretation, forward modelling, fluid substitution and seismic dat pre-conditioning for reservoir characterisation advantageous.
· Good client communication skills – the ability to listen and articulate technical findings.
· Attention to detail and processes with the ability to work under strict deadlines.
· Good presentation skills
· Good interpersonal skills - the ability to work at all levels within the Company to accomplish goals.
· Self motivated - must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
· Attention to detail and processes.
· Highly flexible – ability to adapt to new project challenges and work practices.
· Drive and ambition to succeed within reservoir services.
· Willingness to travel.
Package: An attractive Base Salary of between £30K – £45K is on offer dependent on skills and experience, plus 25 days holiday, pension, gym sponsorship, medical cover, etc… In addition, the Company operate an annual Bonus Scheme.
