Responsibilities: Working independently and reporting to the Managing Director, who is based in London, you will be fully supported by a marketing team, established technologies, and administrative staff. Your role will encompass the following functions:
· Full responsibility for the development and execution of a sales strategy in your designated region. The strategy should include specific sales targets and activities that will enhance the Company’s image.
· Develop strong relationships with key technical and commercial personnel in oil and gas and related upstream service companies within your territory.
· Provide accurate and timely business development forecasts.
· Development of regional events diary and media directory for marketing purposes.
· Work closely with the Marketing Team to develop and agree marketing strategy for your region.
· Keeping abreast of industry trends, especially in your region.
This role offers immense scope and autonomy for an entrepreneurial individual with relevant sales and networking skills to develop the Company’s business strategy in their designated region, whilst being fully supported from head-office.
Candidate Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
· Degree in an Earth Science or Engineering discipline desired.
· Oil & gas industry experience essential – preferably with a geoscience or a petroleum/process engineering background.
· Previous experience working as an agent/representative highly desirable.
· Sales and business development experience essential.
· Highly proactive approach to identifying business opportunities and developing sales.
· Self motivated individual, with entrepreneurial attitude and drive to succeed essential.
· Ability to build strong relationships with oil company personnel essential.
· Good business acumen – the ability to devise, monitor, manage and communicate sales plans and forecasts effectively.
· Excellent presentation and communication skills.
· Desire to succeed.
· Ability to work independently whilst maintaining excellent communications with head-office staff.
· Excellent communication and networking skills - the ability to liaise with clients effectively at all levels and Company staff.
· Proficient in Microsoft software and applications - especially Outlook, Word and Excel.
· Proficiency in English and the main business language of the designated region essential.
